About ASITA NTT
The Association of the Indonesian Tours and Travel Agencies, abbreviated as “ASITA,” is a travel agency. ASITA was founded in Jakarta on January 7, 1971, and currently has 31 Regional Executive Boards (DPDs) across all provinces, including Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT).
In East Nusa Tenggara, ASITA has been in existence since 1977 and has over 100 members spread across Kupang City and regencies, organized into four DPCs (DPC Manggarai Raya, DPC Sikka, DPC Ende, and DPC Lembata).
Vision
To enhance the role of members as national tourism actors, establishing ASITA as an association that benefits its members and maintains relationships with both the Central and Regional Governments as strategic partners in advancing tourism in NTT Province.
Mission
- To enhance the role of members as key national tourism actors, generating foreign exchange, increasing revenue, and developing the capacity of globally competitive businesses.
- To enhance the image of Indonesian tourism by providing satisfaction, a sense of security, and ensuring the protection and guarantees of the interests of service users and other stakeholders without compromising the interests of fellow members.
- Involve all tourism stakeholders, especially members, to participate in efforts to promote all of NTT’s tourism potential.
- Strengthen partnerships with the central and regional governments, as well as NTT tourism stakeholders, to remain strategic partners in advancing tourism in NTT.
Goals
- Enhance the role of members as key players in national tourism, generating foreign exchange and increasing revenue, and developing the capacity of globally competitive businesses.
- Enhance the image of Indonesian tourism by providing satisfaction, a sense of security, and certainty of protection and guarantees for the interests of service users and other interested parties.
- Enhance the role of members by striving to advance their professional, technical, and financial capabilities to meet international standards.
Objectives
- Serve and protect the interests of members, accommodate suggestions, and champion their aspirations.
- Provide input and/or considerations to the government and stakeholders in developing tourism policies and programs.
- Provide support to members in the context of empowerment and professional development.
- Acting as a mediator between members and tourism business stakeholders to build synergistic collaborations both within and outside the tourism service industry at the local, national, and global levels.

ASITA NTT has actualized itself in its role to advance tourism in NTT, including contributing to efforts to increase tourist visits to NTT, both domestic and international, which is an indicator of the government's key performance in the tourism sector.
ASITA NTT is proud of its tourism potential and attractions. These exotic and unique destinations possess both comparative and competitive advantages.
I, Oyan Kristian, ST, Chairman of the ASITA NTT Regional Executive Board, invite all members, including travel agencies in NTT and all strategic partners, both government and private, to promote NTT's tourism potential and establish tourism as a leading sector capable of directly improving the community's economy.
